The Doctor Is In

Senator Majority Leader, Bill Frist (R-TN), will be in New Hampshire on September 9th. It will be his second visit to NH in four weeks. Senator Frist will be attending the "Seacoast GOP Women's Chili Fest" at the Scamman Farm in Stratham.

Richardson establishes presence


Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) "is becoming quite fond" of NH. Richardson established a political committee in NH on 8/7. The title is "Richardson for Governor." The chair is Dave Contarino, who is Richardson's GOV campaign chair, and the treasurer is Concord, NH's Richard Bouley. Bouley said the committee "was set up" to give Richardson the ability to "give to candidate committees" in NH. Bouley said the committee was "not" a precursor to a presidential campaign. Labor Day Events

On September 4th, both former Senator John Edwards (D-NC) and Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) will be in Manchvegas. Senator Edwards is speaking at an AFL-CIO Labor Day Breakfast. At the breakfast, "Attendees are encouraged to wear their everyday work clothes to the breakfast!" Senator Biden will be visiting the Manchester Democrats' first annual Labor Day BBQ. The event is being hosted by Alderman Mike Lopez.

It's Security Stupid!

New York Governor George Pataki visited the Granite State for the second time in three weeks. Gov. Pataki said that the most important issue in the 2006 mid-terms is national security. He also, "called for an end to illegal immigration, a hard stance on criminals, an affordable health care system devoid of unnecessary malpractice litigation, the removal of activist judges and smaller government with lower taxes."
